Construction and materials
Weighing just 9.5 kilos, the robust platform makes the VeloLite 1 bike carrier particularly easy to lift and manoeuver. The sturdy coupling with an ergonomic handle ensures secure and stable attachment to the tow bar. The low profile allows for access to the boot at all times - when there is no load. The integrated lighting and number plate holder ensure that the unit complies with all legal requirements on the road. Smart design
The mounting arm has a flexible strap and a swivelling head, and easily clamps onto a great variety of frame tubes. This ensures safe transport for a wide range of bike types and geometries. The wheel straps include a handy parking slot to keep them out of the way while loading and unloading. The VeloLite's ingenious folding system reduces its length to just 77 cm, which means the whole unit fits easily into a small car trunk or narrow storage space in the garage. You can use the included lock to secure the carrier firmly to the car to prevent theft.

Use and compatibility
The Thule VeloLite 1 car bike rack can hold one bike with any number of gears or type of drivetrain. Its mounting arm clamps tubes with a diameter of 20 to 90 mm. The wheel slots can accommodate tyre widths up to 3 inches, and the maximum wheelbase is set at 1250 mm. Total load capacity is 25 kg. The carrier fits directly on the tow bar and uses a 13-pin power connector.
